HILANG CHILD SOLVE

Hilang Child breezes into his new indie-pop single 'Solve' with a resigned melancholia through this unanswerable gesture: "how will I solve the way that I feel, when I remember it all? How will I grow? The end is near. The world is taking all I owe." With his feather light vocals, Ed Riman ventures further into this crisis of self under a constant electronic hum, delicate keys and woody percussion. As the emotion intensifies, so does the instrumentation thanks to a throbbing, relentless bass. It's a nurturing, organic texture created alongside self-confessed Logic nerd Jamie Mac (aka JM∆C), that emerged following a catch-up, a few swapped demos and a day of writing together away from their respective projects. The final result has the best of Riman's sensitive songwriting and Mac's bold electronic touch. Our verdict - we want more Hilang JM∆C collaborations! - HT
